EO Advisors Welcomes Michael Volovic as a new Associate

EO Advisors is excited to announce the appointment of Michael Volovic as an Associate of the firm. Michael will focus on deal execution and client support alongside the EO Advisors senior partnership. Michael brings with him a diverse background in both institutional investing and corporate finance.

Prior to joining EO Advisors, Michael was a CLO Portfolio Analyst at 40|86 Advisors, Inc., the asset management arm of CNO Financial Group with more than $26bn in assets under management. At 40|86, Michael managed a $750mm portfolio of CLO debt across the capital structure including all CLO bond buy/sell decisions.

Michael began his career at Hurco Companies, Inc., a publicly traded industrial technology company that designs and produces interactive computer controls, software, and computerized machine tools for the worldwide metal cutting industry. At Hurco, Michael oversaw financial consolidation of the companies’ 15 reporting entities across 12 countries, including fair value and cash flow hedging across currencies.

“We could not be more excited to have Michael joining our growing team at EO Advisors. When we started the firm, a core principle was to build a highly accomplished team that also had highly divergent backgrounds,” said Alex Shortle, Partner at EO Advisors. “Michael brings a level and breadth of experience to this Associate role that is rather uncommon. I look forward to his leadership and will greatly enjoy witnessing his inevitable success in this and future roles within the firm.”

Michael earned his Masters in Business Administration from Butler University after earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida Southern College. During his undergraduate career, Michael helped lead Florida Southern College’s men’s basketball team to the 2015 DII National Championship. He ended his collegiate playing career as a two-time team captain and as a 1,000-point scorer.

Away from the office, Michael enjoys coaching and mentoring young basketball players as a coordinator for the Carmel Basketball Academy. His deep passion for the game of basketball continues to be a source of joy and inspiration.

“I am thrilled to be joining the EO Advisors team in my hometown of Indianapolis. I look forward to working with the firm’s growing list of business owner clients across industries as we work to optimize outcomes for these clients and their stakeholders.”
